Anna Judith Veizhans
ANNA JUDITH VEIZHANS -RIN 2 NOTES: INDIVIDUAL: MISC.:
Anna Judith Veizhans, daughter of Christoph Veizhans, was confirmed in 1749 at the age of 14 or 15 in the Evangelical church in Neckartenzlingen Germany according to p.650 of LDS reel 1056575 for the Ev. church. Hence she was born most likely in 1735. For more records see LDS reel 1056576, pages 951 (this gives her date of birth as 2 Jun 1735) and 965, where she was listed as 30 years and seven months, probably ca. 1 Jan 1766. Another child may have been born on 2 Mar 1764, but this child died at birth or young (see p.951).
In the family record for her father, Anna Judith was listed as having been born on 2 Jun 1735. See p.174 of LDS reel 1056576. A. Judith Veizhansin ("in" is a female ending) and daughters Elisab. Marg., 4, and A. Barb, 6., wife of Johs. Mack, emigrated to America in 1766 according to Adolf Gerber, p.28 of "Neue Beitrage zur Auswanderung nach America im 18. Jahrhundert aus Altwurttembergischen Kirchenbuchern unter Hinzusiehung anderer Quellen". Stuttgart, Germany, J.F. Steinkopf, 1929?, 44p. See also Adolf Gerber, "Emigrants from Wurttemberg: The Adolf Gerber Lists", edited by Donald Herbert Yoder. In the PA German Folklore Society, Vol.10 (1945), pp.132-237. See p.187. Anna Veizhans emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1766 according to Don Yoder, editor, Pennsylvania German Immigrants, 1709--1786: Lists Consolidated from Yearbooks of the Pennsylvania German Folklore Society, Baltimore, Genealogical Publishing Co., 1980, 394p., Reprint 1984. See p.87.
Anna Judith Veizhans married Johannes Mack on 2 Jul 1758 according to p.1186 of LDS reel 1056575. Note that the date appears as 2 May, but it apparently was overwritten by Jul. The banns ("proklamation") were announced on the third, fourth, and fifth Sundays of Trinity, hence the probability that the date of her marriage was 2 Jul 1758. Also the marriage record just above Anna Judith's is dated 20 Jun 1758 with banns announced on the 2, 3, and 4 Sundays of Trinity.
